Slice (the "app") is maintained by independent developer Han Lin Chen. We are built on a single principle: your photos should never leave your device. This policy describes the very limited scope of data we touch.
We do not collect any personal data, including:
All photo processing (subject segmentation, bubble border, text composition) runs locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework or Google's ML Kit. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.
The app uses RevenueCat only for subscription validation. RevenueCat receives the App Store / Google Play transaction receipt to confirm subscription status — it does not receive any photo data or personally-identifying information.
RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system or Google Play Billing. Payment information is managed by Apple / Google; the app does not see, store, or transmit any credit card or payment details.
Subscriptions can be cancelled or changed any time. iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children (and as stated above, we do not collect data from any user). If we ever become aware such data has been mistakenly received, it will be deleted immediately.
Because we collect no personal data, no retention policy is necessary. Stickers you create are stored on your own device's Photos library — outside our reach.
Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date and noted in the app's release notes.
